2021/2022 Holland Master’s Degree Scholarship for International Students

2021/2022 Holland Master’s Degree Scholarship for International Students. This is to inform our blog readers that, Holland master’s degree scholarship for international students for the 2021/2020 session! has commenced her online application registration.

The Holland Master’s degree Scholarship is for students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA = the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway). The Holland Scholarship is sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Dutch Research Universities, and Universities of Applied Sciences.

Please kindly note that the number of scholarships available for the 2021/2022 academic year is 17 scholarships. Also, the Holland scholarship is not for students that are starting their programme in February.

The Scholarship Programme Amount

The Holland Scholarship is fully funded with €5,000, €10,000, or €15,000 to be given to you, in your first year of studies. It will also be given to you, even if you are admitted to a two-year programme. This is the monetary worth of this scholarship programme.

Selection Criteria

b Your application will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Academic background as demonstrated in your application to the Master’s programme.
  • Your motivation explaining the relevance of your time in the Netherlands and at Utrecht University to your future goals.
  • The quality and feasibility of your financial plan.
  • Be able to comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa/residence permit.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a Holland Scholarship, you must meet the below criteria;

  • You must not hold an EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans.
  • Never before have been enrolled at an educational institution in the Netherlands.
  • Have applied for an international master’s programme at Utrecht University with a start date of 1 September 2021.
  • The international master’s programme at Utrecht University is not a Distance Learning/Online Programme;
  • Meet the specific entry requirements of the programme.

After submitting your application for the Master’s programme non-EU/EEA students have the option to submit an application for the Holland Scholarship from 1 November. You will need to upload the following documents:

  • Motivation letter explaining the relevance of your time in the Netherlands and at Utrecht University to your career goals
  • A statement of financial resources demonstrating you can cover the remaining cost

How To Apply for The 2021 Holland Scholarship

  1. Submit an application for a Master’s programme, if you do not do this first, you will not be able to apply for the Scholarship in Osiris Online Application.
  2. After submitting an application for a Master’s programme, you can go to Osiris Online Application.
  3. Log in with your Osiris username and password.
  4. Click on the link New application.
  5. Answer the questions and upload your motivation letter and Statement of Financial Resources
  6. Submit your application.
