NECO Registration 2021 Form Is Out, Fees, Exam Starting & Closing Date. This page is basically for the registration of the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)! The National Examination Council (NECO) has officially announced the commencement! of the NECO registration form for the internal Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).  Kindly bookmark this page for updates about the NECO Registration.

However, the NECO Registration for Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) registration form portal is open for all students in the SS3 class to register. All students must register for the examination before they can write the exam.

NECO registration fee is non-refundable once payment is successful! so you need to decide that you want to write the Exam before registration. You are to register through a School or at the cybercafe. Only External candidates can register without School.

Candidates are advised to register for both WAEC and NECO. So they can have a better chance, if you fail and pass the other, then you have no cause for alarm. You are also required to register and write a minimum of 8 subjects and a maximum of 9 subjects.

Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal

This is the examination taken by candidates in their last stage of Secondary School Education. The SSCE is in two categories. One is for candidates in the third and final year of their senior secondary education and it is called SSCE Internal while the Second is SSCE External and is for candidates not in the School system, i.e. Private Candidates.

The SSCE internal has seventy-six subjects which are grouped into the following six categories.

  • Compulsory Cross-Cutting Subjects
  • Science and Mathematics
  • Technology
  • Humanities
  • Business Studies and
  • Trade/Entrepreneurship.

The minimum number of subjects a candidate can sit for is eight while the maximum is nine. All Senior Secondary schools in the Federation present Candidates for the SSCE Internal.

When Is 2021 NECO (SSCE) Registration Starting Date?

The 2021 National Examination Council registration for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) is in two categories; SSCE Internal Registration and SSCE External Registration. The SSCE Internal examination always takes place around June and July, after the WAEC May/June Exam.

While the SSCE External Examination is between November and December annually. So the 2021 SSCE registration for internal school students has started, therefore all candidates are to register for the 2021 SSCE Internal Examination.

When Is NECO 2021 Registration Closing Date

The NECO School Candidate 2021 registration closing date for the SSCE internal students is on May 2021. The registration may last up to three weeks from the date of the registration!

SSCE 2021 Registration Fee

The National Examination Council (NECO) 2021 Registration Fee is Twelve Thousand Naira (N12, 000) only. Once you make this non-refundable fee, you are to start your registration immediately.

The NECO 2021 Registration fee payment can either be paid with the school, through banks, NECO state offices, or NIPOST offices. Remember the fee payment is non-refundable.
